Your files are processed locally in your browser whenever supported. Temporary working data may be stored on your device to keep your session available. Stored working data is automatically removed according to the retention settings described on this page.

Where your files are processed

The current tools — merge, compress, split, JPG to PDF, PDF to JPG, rotate, delete pages, reorder pages, extract pages and watermark — run in your browser. Your PDF and image files are not uploaded to our servers to be processed.

What may be stored on your device

While you use a tool, your documents are held in your browser's memory. They are released when you clear your work, start a new document or leave the page. If you tick “Keep on this device for 24 h”, your working document and its history are stored in your browser for up to 24 hours after your last change. If a download limit is turned on, a small counter is kept in your browser.

What leaves your device

Your browser downloads this site's pages, scripts and images from our host. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads. Your files, their names and their contents are not sent. This version of PDFvie does not use analytics.

Deleting your data

“Clear work”, or unticking “Keep on this device for 24 h”, deletes what was stored at once. Kept data also expires automatically 24 hours after your last change. You can also clear this site's data in your browser settings at any time.

Limits of this statement

Processing in your browser depends on your device and your browser. We cannot protect you from software already running on your device, such as a malicious browser extension.
